Who We Are

CPYC Youth Sailing offers an exciting 8 week summer learn to sail program serving approximately 75 beginner, intermediate and advanced young sailors aged 8 and above. The program is designed to incorporate lessons on both land and on the water. In addition to teaching sailing skills, emphasis is placed on water safety, team work, boat care and responsibility, self-esteem and confidence…and having FUN!.

Instruction begins in N10 and Optimist dinghies accompanied with an instructor. As lessons progress over the years, intermediate and advanced sailors are encouraged to learn to sail the RS Feva and C420.
For sailors who already have the beginning skills, we offer a more competitive opportunity – sailing in Regattas. While regattas are a larger commitment, regattas emphasize community and fun.

The program’s goal is to promote the sport of sailing and seamanship while ensuring all our sailors, whether skippering or crewing, feel comfortable, safe and secure on the water. We have a high instructor to student ratio to ensure your child’s safety and personal attention. Located in Winthrop, we sail out of the Cottage Park Yacht Club on Boston and Winthrop Harbors.

CPYC Membership is not required for 1st year participants, please check out our non-member options.
