2005 Official Series Scoring Rules

Spring Fleet Series
Fleet Qualifications (STCR 23.5.8)
June 11, 18, 25, CPYC (RC will attempt 4 races each day, conditions and time permitting)
Trophies awarded at June 25th BBQ, including Perpetual Boston Harbor Star Fleet Championship Trophy.

Series score shall be the scores of the best five races for the registered skipper. 

Appendix A will apply for the series.
RRS A8 is changed so that the first tie-breaker shall be the number of races started (including DNS, OCS, but NOT counting DNC).
If the people in question have skippered the same number of races, A8 will apply thereafter for the series.

e.g. If Scott's best five races are 7 points, and my best five races are also 7 points, but Scott has sailed in 9 races, and i only sailed in 6, Scott wins the tiebreaker.


Summer Fleet Series

  • July 23, CPYC
  • July 30, Marblehead (saturday only, all races)
  • August 6, Make-a-wish, CPYC (saturday only, all races).
  • August 13, Ned Hay (saturday only, all races)
  • August 20, Series Finale, CPYC.

    Score the best 5 races for registered skipper.  Same tie-breaker as above.

    For away regattas, and regattas where non-fleet members participate (Both series), scores will be relative to other fleet members. 
    e.g. If Scott scores 5, 6 in the saturday races of the Ned Hay, but is the first BH boat in both races, Scott gets 1-1 scores for the day in the Summer Fleet Series.
